Linear Technology will be taking part in next months technical forum in Manchester – which will be held on the 18th of June.
Come and meet with Linear (attending is FREE) who will have a desktop in technical networking / exhibition area as well as holding the following AM presentation and PM workshop:
AM Technical Presentation: Implementing an Ultra-Low Power Wireless Mesh for Sensor Networks
Wireless sensor networks are one of the fastest growing sectors for wireless communications today. Applications are driven by countless different market requirements and making a choice of specific implementation requires a clear understanding of what the key objectives are in terms of priorities at a system level and then defining a feature set to match those. Competition in the sensor networking space is high and under inevitable cost pressure due to volume potential but some networks need to be very special i.e. very low power and highly available. This is only achievable by building some very specific techniques into the DNA of the network architecture. Dust Networks, part of Linear Technology Corporation has many man years invested into making this a reality in the form of a simple to implement, positive out of box experience.
PM Technical Workshop: Practical Demonstration of live Dust Networks Solution
A live network with hardware demonstrating live GUI based illustration of the formation of a mesh network with uplink data from sensors and downlink to mesh elements (motes). Candidates will be able to interact with a live network and take a first-hand look at hardware and see practical implementations of energy harvesting powered network elements. This will be carried out using the standard demo kit from Dust Networks plus some recent innovations in sensor and mote integration developed by the applications team.
