In conjunction with their partners Neoway Technology, APC Hero has now fully released the AM812 module.
The AM812 is a full blown communications module in a form factor that measures just 50mm x 32mm.  The device is controlled by a powerful Quad core ARM Cortex A7 processor.  Allied to this is on board memory of 4Gb RAM and 4Gb NAND flash.
But that processing power is totally need, because the AM812 runs Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and contains all reasonable wireless technologies in a very small footprint.
The cellular communications are covered by various HSPA+ bands, with quad band GPRS fall back.  2.4GHz radios requirements are covered by Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) along with Bluetooth and BLE (4.0).
For your location requirements, the AM812 supports GPS, Glonass and Beidou, so a true GNSS device.
All of these features are supported by a 8MP camera input, capacitive touchscreen controller, LCD interface along with multiple GPIO’s, USB 2.0, SD card and 4 UARTS.
The unit comes with FCC and CE approval, so it can deployed throughout the world, in multiple applications.
