Ineltek UK, the UK and Ireland arm of Germany’s largest independent semiconductor distributor is now promoting Zentel’s disruptive 1Gbit Quad-SPI SLC NAND products as a realistic and massively cost-advantageous alternative to legacy NOR Flash products.
Following on from Hans Diesing’s (Zentel Director of Sales Central and Eastern Europe) conference paper which he presented at Embedded World in Nuremberg in February, Ineltek UK sees the opportunity for significant savings to be made in embedded systems that utilise high density non-volatile memories. “Quad SPI SLC NAND meets or exceeds all the technical requirements offered by traditional SPI NOR: high data throughput, low power, high endurance and long data retention but all in a single die manufactured on lowest-cost DRAM processes” explained Ineltek Technical Director, Shaun O’Brien.
In addition, the large (64kbyte) OTP designed into Zentel’s A5U1GA21ASC-BC device allows sensitive and vital information to be locked away, further enabling applications that require such security.
Features of A5U1GA21ASC-BC
- Density 1Gbit
- Interface Quad SPI (Read AND Write)
- Vcc 2.7-3.6V
- Clk 104MHz
- Package SOP16W
